Am buffyless. Am the last person on livejournal to see Buffy. Must wait till morning, sadly. Sleep is more important-- I would stay up but then I'd fall asleep in statistics tomorrow cause its a morning class, and that would suck in a major embarrassing way. So I'll watch it while I make breakfast tomorrow.
I did end up watching 'Haunted' though. I liked it, for the most part. The actor was hot, in that wow-he-ought-to-be-depressed-but-he-still-pulls-off-the-'cute'-thing way.
Visually, it was fairly darkly filmed, with lots of gray and brown. Reminded me of the early X-Files epsiodes in that way. Rather bleak. This wasn't as captivating and engrossing as the early X-Files seasons were, but it kicked off to a good start. The plot was interesting and well-paced, and the quality of directing above most tv-series. THe psychic/ghosty stuff was eerie but not over-the-top, and was both predictable and surprising in places. A very good script, with realistic characters and a believable protagonist that the audience could sympathize with. And I can see there's going to be lots of sympathy needed.
That's the only thing I could find if-y about this show, actually. While the scary-elements were good, and certainly very creepy (the awful man he killed who haunts him---gross!scary!), the back story is the loss of the guy's son, and I just KNOW it's going to bring oodles of pain later. I just hope the show doesn't get lost in its own sadness.
Still, it showed a nice supporting cast, for this episode at least. I liked the blind man in the park, and the cop. And I liked his ex-wife too, who was nicely developed against stereotype-- as someone who still cares about him and tries to be his friend, to help him out. There's not bitterness between them, only lingering sadness. I find it rather refreshing as most divorced couples on tv are always viscious and cold with one another.

With my middle name: (there were too many to look at)
linear raw sin!
serial war inn

I liked 'linear raw sin' myself. ^__-
