Spooks/MI-5, episodes 1 and 2
Spooks appears to be a very well-made, exciting show about things I care nothing about (at least as far as tv drama goes.) Namely, counterterrorism spying. I'm not really a big watcher of stuff like 24 or Alias.
Now, if these were couterterrorist spies on a spaceship orbitting the planet Raxacoricofallapatorius (or spies timetraveling back to 1973), then I would so be there. In a split second, yo. As it is, I find most tv series about spying to be not my cup of tea. I'll take the real thing or not at all, please.
However.
This disinterest is significantly balanced by the fact that I've had a massive crush on Matthew Macfadyen since I first saw Pride & Prejudice. And he's just as pretty here, three years younger to boot. Which would mean that (according to Wikipedia) he's 28 in the first season of Spooks. Which explains why my massive crush has just gotten a bit massiver-- he's not that much older than me! Well, ten years exactly. But the 2002 version of him is only 6 years older than the current me! Aww, how lovely tv is at distorting time.
I'll watch a few more. I do have them, after all. And who knows; I might get into the show for more than teh prettay Matthew Macfadyen and his prettay voice.
