Go to my LJ memories under "anime reviews" and you can see all my episode reactions to FMA. OH, FMA. OUI.
Escaflowne is right below FMA as quality anime, though of course its animation isn't quite as 2004 glistening. I loved it so very dearly. But not as much as I love FMA. It's entirely possible I will never love an anime as much as I love FMA.
Actually, the movie is supposed to air dubbed pretty soon on CN, I believe. I think it was recently released on DVD.
But oh my GOD, the finale of FMA. I've watched it so many times. I just about had a heart attack at the 9 minute mark when the Chopin piece kicks and Hawkeye is screaming... okay she didn't scream in the dub, but if you watched the sub she lets out this SOUL-CUTTING SCREAM OF AGONY and then there is the CUT-AWAY OF DOOM and then there is EDWARD AND AL OH MY BOYS MY BOYS MY BOYS
...yeah, still madly in love with that show. Even though I've seen every bit of animation there is to see for it.
