Pun me! A challenge for your Friday workday.

I love puns. Good puns, bad puns, any pun under the sun.

So come on, Livejournal afficiandos!

Give me a pun, and I'll love you tomoooooooorrrrrrow. Something you've been saving up, or something you heard somewhere, or something in another language even. But English is the language I'm most likely to understand, note.

Still the BEST PUN EVER,

Inuyasha, referring to Sesshomaru: "ore no anikisama"

ore no aniki-sama: "my high and mighty elder brother" (such rarely used phrasing that it's exaggeratedly formal to the point of sarcasm)

ore no ani-kisama: "my motherfucking asshole bastard of an elder brother"

This pun is the reason I wanna learn Japanese someday.

Puns!

One you may have heard:

Three blondes walk into a bar. You'd think the third one would've seen it.

(<--- is blonde herself)

And one you may not:

What happened to the string quartet that couldn't sell enough tickets?

They went baroque.

SECOND Best Pun Ever!

With Visuals!

From the webcomic, Skinny Panda

I think I remember [livejournal.com profile] octopedingenue groaning when I told her about this one.

I'm late to the party, and not sure if it even counts as a pun, but... I once asked my dad what time it was. He checked his watch and told me, "Four twenty-two." I said, "How fortuitous."

I've never seen him look so proud of me. :D
