timepiececlock | Fanfiction prompt lists, and motivation

I've always felt vaguely guilty that I've never yet posted a single fanfic entry to

64damn_prompts, a community I created and a prompt list that I wrote. (actually, I also wrote two sequel 64-prompt lists for

akavertigo and her zutara fic Snowblind which she hasn't finished, very sad) It jjust never hit me at the right time. I was busy with my other Avatar fanfic and didn't associate the prompt list with that. I also wasn't inspired by any other fandoms, as I still live in partial denial for Doctor Who, I've basically given up Veronica Mars early in season 3 and have no idea what's going on, and BSG, while entertaining, inspires no fandom feelings in me whatsoever. Kara and Lee can make googly eyes/groins at each other for another four seasons and I still wouldn't give a shit. Heroes... kinda the same as BSG.

My actual fandoms are kind of... scarce, right now.

I'm stalled for anime, though I hope to watch Last Exile sometime soon, and eventually to finish both Monster and Death Note. All are hard to watch on spike travel with AmeriCorps, so it happens only once every two months, when I have a break or transition week. And frankly, Avatar has priority over anime for fanficcing.

I am watching DW, natch, but I no longer feel the need to write fafic for it. My OTP iscanon-forbidden by space and time, so I leave it to others to write and me to read.

The only other thing I'm into writing these days is Naruto-verse future AU Kakashi/Sakura fic, which would probably be just fine for these prompts if I could just bother to care more about writing ninja techniques.

I suppose I could do Harry Potter... but I like thinking up or learning names for canon spells even less than canon ninjutsu.

Ahhh... maybe I should just do it for Kakashi/Sakura. My fic Lucid is going nowhere because I started on a flawed premise and I can't really fix it without totally rewriting it. And I got such a kick out of writing the first few chapters as they are that I'm loathe to rewrite them. I could just start something new with a prompt list.

Damn, yes. You just seemed like you wanted to fic soonish, so I was wishing you the best in that.

If you look at the HP fic I've already written, you'll notice nobody uses spells. I... can't even think of a single fic I've written where a character has said a canon spell name aloud. It's kind of funny how I've unconciously or semi-conciously gotten around it.

Hah! Neither my conscious or unconscious could find a way around it. Thankfully, the one time I wrote HP fic, I happened to be corresponding with a dude who knew Latin, so making up a spell name (Animam Suffoco!) was easy, 'cause I could pick his brain! ((sends positive vibes at him, wherever he may be))

I didn't know the pilot was out. I thought that was going to be a fall series? I did think the trailer was promising.

It is a fall show, but fall shows have been leaked all over the damn place this summer. Srsly, the first two eps of Dexter have been out a while, and so have the pilots of Pushing Daisies, Sarah Connor Chronicles, and Chuck.

I've only written short fics; if I tried a longer HP fic I might eventually use some spells in dialogue. I just tend to arrange my sentences so people get hexed without the words of the actual hexes being spoken aloud. With Hogwart's lessons in nonverbal spell-craft in the latter books, it makes it easier.

I tried to find it on my normal downloading comm, but its not posted. Do you have it as an avi file? I'd love to get it... I can watch avi files on my Zen mp3 player. the only reason I don't watch anime is because the subs are too small.

I tried watching it, but when it combined it was only 100 mb, and so it cut off after about 15 minutes. I'm going to download the links again; I still have the link list.

The internet connection here has become so bad that I can't get anything. I'm going to use those links this weekend, at my parent's house. I should be able to get it then.

I just can't seem to get PD to download. I've downloaded the set 3 times now, and all the files are 100mb, but each time, when i join them together, the resulting file is only 100mb, not 350mb. So I get to see the first 15 minutes or so.

Help?

I'll dig out the disc and upload it to a different site. But it might take me a bit, I'm kind of pressed for time today.

Thanks for the upload! I managed to download it earlier today and watch it, but then it kinda got wiped from my drive; I was hoping to watch it again, and now I can. :D

:) Glad you dug it enough to want a re-watch! I should probably take some time to see it again, myself. It was just... full to bursting with SO MUCH to love. Gah.
