though I think the glossing over of issues with Maiko and Kataang bugged me more
It bothered me more for Katara and Aang than for Maiko, because their relationship has in theory been building since season 1, and I think it really hurt them to affirm the existence of serious conflict right before the end of the show but then skip over resolving it. I liked Kataang so much better in the beginning of season 3 than I did by the end of it.
