Yeah, that was my problem too. It seemed weird to jump from "I just don't know" to "twenty-second epic twu wub kiss" without SOMETHING in-between. It's EQUALLY weird because EIB could've just as easily established Katara DID love Aang but did not want to commit to anything too serious until the War was over; if THAT had been where we'd left things prior to the four-parter, I'd be a LOT happier with the ending on that front.
Really, though, on the whole the finale was WONDERFUL. I absoluely agree about the Music. ESEPCIALLY during the Agni Kai with Zuko and Azula, it just meshed so perfectly with the on-screen action.
