Hmmm.... Well, for me, I was always kind of reading the weapons as demons, if that makes sense - more kin to humans than not but still not quite the same thing, and I LOVED the fact that Maka is the daughter of a weapon and a miester.

I guess the fact that it was always clear to me that the weapons and witches had the same emotions as the humans, so... I was never disappointed?
