That's all it comes down to in my mind. It's also brought me to the sad decision that I must give up ff.net. I know there's loads of mostly crap, but there are some real gems among the grindstones of Buffyfic there, and I pride myself on finding them. But it's also the easiest place to get spoiled from summaries or people who don't warn that they're writing spoilers into their fics. Or write "warning" only after telling you the spoiler itself. ::shudder:: I think that if you're deep enough into internet fandom to be able to find spoilers, you should know courtesy enough to put warnings up.
So soon I'll be only on fic recs, LJ, and fanfiction from lists and forums. After May I'll backtrack and read all the Buffyfic I've lapsed on at ff.net. Yeah, I'm insane that way.
