psycho idea
so I had this thought.
Now that I've seen Cowboy Bebop's ending, I had a fic crossover idea. BTVS/CB
Spike (william the bloody, not spiegel) + Faye Valentine, many years in the future, bond over lost love.
Because I've never done Spike/Other, and it'd be great to give him someone, a 100+ years after Buffy's dead. And it'd be nice to give Faye someone too.
Part 1
Faye Valentine walked into a bar on Mars, where she saw Spike the vampire sitting on a bar stool, hair unbleached and cut in short tight curls.
She picks him up, takes him back to the ship where they have comfort sex, him thinking about Buffy, who’s long dead, and her thinking about Spike Spiegel, dead one year. There is much brooding and angsty characterization. Spike is able to commiserate with Faye, though, about her past, because he lived through that time, and that gives them a place to start from besides mutual lost love. Jet ignores them.
Faye invites him to stay on board with them (vampires like the cold of outer space, but the blood is inconvenient—maybe some kind of technical or mystical solution?), but he leaves in morning with no note or anything.
Part 2
Faye and Jet go back to Mars 3 months later on a bounty hunt. As they finish and Jet is off to collect their money, Spike appears. Faye is sitting against the Bebop, dozing, when a duffle bag is dropped at her feet. She instantly draws her gun, and finds herself aiming at Spike’s face. He asks her if her offer’s still open. She asks him if he has any skills. He says he can fight and he can swear and he can translate language and he doesn’t sleep. She says that in space sleep is the best way to pass the time. He says there’s other ways, implying sex. And then
