thanks for the linkage, [profile] _green_

This is the letter that I sent here: http://www.moveon.org/cbs/ad/

CBS & Associates,

I am gravely disappointed by your decision not to air the "Bush in 30 seconds" ad for the Super Bowl air time. I feel that by airing an ad for the Bush administration yet refusing to air an ad that opposes it, you stomp on the ideals of free speech, equal representation, balance in the spread of information news, and the public's right to media presentations that are not unfairly biased to one political view. In this decision you are abusing your power as public informants to censor what Americans can see and hear. Shame on you.

I hope in the future that you will make such decisions with wiser mind. There is still time to change this and allow the ad to be aired in a payed for time slot. I urge you to reconsider your decision.

Thank you for your time,

Sara Weir

Oh god, I'm retarded. I was just too lazy to click the link before, and it didn't cross my mind that the ad was there. Eh, my excuse is that I'm tired. But, uh, thanks for replying to my stupidity, anyway.

Sooo. I found that commercial one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen. It literally made me feel physically ill and I really can't bear to watch it again. But I guess that's the point. Well, it's not like I was planning on voting for Bush.

I was unsettled myself. Very unsettled, in an artisitcally appreciative way. I thought about rewatching it a second time after I had posted my journal entry, but I realized I jsut didn't want to.
