Well, they didn't nominate Seasn Astin for LotR supporting actor, but.... THEY NOMINATED THE GIRL FROM WHALE RIDER FOR BEST ACTRESS!!!!! So perhaps they are not totally lost to the side of good. After I saw WR, my dad said "That little girl is amazing," and I said, "She really is." I thought it would be nice for her to spring ahead and get a best actress nod... but I never actually expected it to happen.

And hey, what'd'ya know about that thar Johnny Depp fellow. I coudn't say meself... I ser his movie, and 't seemed a bit girlie to me... kind of...fairy-like, if ya catch my meaning...
