I can't believe I didn't talk about this in my earlier post, because it's SO cool, and it was the most important thing on my head the whole episode--- except until the last scene, which I'm sure you can understand captured my attention even more. But still--important!

::nods head sympathetically:: Silly, foolish, non-seeing man. This was a great little thing. This is the second time (by my count) that Buffy has repeated something Spike said to her in a tight situation back to her friends, in a dramatic situation. She is so in love.

Huh? No..in Season 1, the "Master" (I know, there's like a billion masters, beasts, etc. but this was the first one...you know, Angel's dear old grandad) says the same line to his minions. Don't remember the ep. But point is, it's another hearkening of Back to The Beginning.

The "duh" was meant for me meaning I was sure the line would be very obvious and probably went over my head. And it did. I remember Buffy saying that and I remembering thinking "Where did I hear that line before?"
