Life On Mars

I'm feeling a deep urge to write a LoM fanfic where Sam stays in the past and lives an entire life, all the way until he dies in the mid-1990s in a quick-mart robbery, after which he wakes up on a hospital bed in 2006, 7 months from the day of his accident.

And then he goes and hunts down the people he knew in the past. And he finds Annie, his wife, as an older woman of 60. An she looks at him and sees the face Sam wore the year she met him, and it all becomes startlingly clear.

Hm. *purses lips* I'd like to try, but it might take me a while. Just writing LJ posts had been too much until lately. And I really didn't like the way my Sam/Annie fic turned out -- too many wrong notes. Hmmmm. *ponders*

God yes. I first read about it about three months ago and than started downloading the 1st couple of episodes I was hooked. So hooked that I am infact tivo-ing them as they air on BBCamerica to force my Family to watch them.

I am just in love with Sam and Annie.

We'll see. I might end up trying a short one-shot if only because Sam/Annie fic seems so sparce! I'm not suprised at the large slash fanbase given that the show is mostly male characters, but with all Annie and Sam's flirty touches and quietly affectionate looks I'm surprised there's not just as much het fanfiction.

That said, there isn't much LOM fanfic of any kind yet, and there is a bit of Annie/Sam scattered around.
