What do I look like?

If you've ever wondered.

So that's me. Celtic freckles and green eyes included. Both photos are by Eveline Shi-Pitcairn, the first taken in the family portait sitting and the second taken informally to test her lighting system. This is my natural hair color and the curls are because I let it air dry after washing.

Pretty! And I envy that hair - I have very straight hair that's too thick to hold a curl with all the hairspray in the world. But, hey, grass is greener and all that. *g*

I've had the same hair straightener for several years, and when I'm in a mood I try for the thick straight locks. Unfortunately I only ever get it mostly straight, and it usually curls underneath. *g* One time, back when I had long long hair, I spent an hour and a half straightening all of it, so it was long and straight and soft and pretty... and then I went to Monteray and Carmel for the afternoon, and within twenty minutes of just being at sea level in a coastal town my hair was curly and frizzed out again. I learned a pretty good lesson from that one.

Oooh, I love your hair. I wish I had hair like that. I go through so much effort to turn my wavy ball of fuzz into lovely curls like that, and it holds for approximately 2 hours maximum.

I get frizz often. I only get it too look nice and curly at the same time about 1/3 tries. I figured out that I have to comb it immediately when I come out of the shower, and then basically not touch it for two hours. Then I have to redampen it with water or hair gel to take out some of the frizz. I've been on the hunt for the right anti-frizz product. Still hunting.
