PSA: Avatar The Last Airbender season finale this Friday!
If anyone on my flist watched the first season of Avatar: The Last Airbender but isn't current with the aired episodes, now is your chance! Marathon it tonight and tomorrow, because the 1-hour season finale is this Friday, Dec. 1st.
Season 2 has been leading up to this pretty heavily, and the trailers out so far are lookin' good. Last season, the finale episodes were the best episodes so far, and they turned many a casual viewer into a fan. Season 2 has so far kicked season 1's ass, so I've got high hopes for Friday's episodes.
Tune in and squee with me, peoples.

Sing it!
I can't believe I'm actually doing this, but I'm putting my anime To-Watch list on hold for the finale ((well, this and midterms)), in case the consequential Avatar-high renders me incapable of anything else.
I'm still a little awestruck at the progress AtLA has made; remember episodes like The Great Divide? Cute but not very provocative? Now there are episodes like City of Walls and Secrets, of all things, and right after that episode I was so worried that maybe AtLA 'jumped the shark' or some such; but this show is more solid than I gave it credit for.
ALSO! This is OT, but: I haven't been able to respond to any of your Cowboy Bebop comments, and I apologize; I got caught up in watching Paradise Kiss and Trigun, the latter of which I just finished today.
I'd have to add the other, Trigun, to the list, for having the entire plot exist for the sole purpose of an Englightenment era philosophical battle over the main character's soul and ideology.
There's no way I would've believed that of anime had I not watched Trigun for myself. I'm still pretty dazed, and I wrote a very brief, very reverent post for it on my LJ. One thing I'll say here right now, just because I have to: it has the happiest ending I've seen in a while.
