Crossover fanfiction: why can't it be better? For my sake?

::while reading a crappy ATLA / Stargate crossover that never should have been attempted but dammit I really have never read an ATLA crossover before that I didn't write myself::

Oh this is so bad. I can't even describe the reasons this is bad, it's just that bad. Words can't begin to explain...

This crossover needs some serious Methos. I don't care if Methos is from a totally different show unconnected to those two. If I have to read this badness because I'm that starved for crossovers, at least put Methos into the story. It's the LEAST the author could do for us at this point.

If you think about it, no crossover is really 100% until you add some quality Methos time.

This post serves a double purpose: It is also meant as a plea for ATLA crossovers. Anything you read that you liked, please send me links! Please please. PLEASE.

Sorry to bother you yet again, but I wanted to know how you approach character analysis. I apologize if it is a time consuming question that was posted on the wrong thread. As always, you are under no obligation to answer, but since I am new to writing, I was just curious how a seasoned writer, such as yourself, tackles character study. Thank you.

Methos? Should I know this?

God yes- I always get bit by the crossover bug, which is terrible because I have never found any good fic in that genre. :(

While I'm afraid I don't know of any ATLA/SG:A crossovers, I must recommend Vathara (http://www.fanfiction.net/u/77482/) for being my favourite crossover writer :)
