question about BSG

A question for the Battlestar fans on my flist.  I'm watching episode 3x09, because I think the episode 3x08, with the lost and angry pilot, is where I last watched.

But the flashback sequence opens with Kara/Lee nasty stuff and I... don't remember that? I had thought I'd seen all the episodes in order, until this point. But I don't remember when this bit happened, or the context.

Ooh *jumps in*. I've just been doing a re-watch and watched this last night. If you're meaning their naughty biz in the field, that happened in the missing year during the one year time jump at the end of season 2. We went from Kara and Lee being OK with each other to them having had some kind of nasty falling out a year later; the episode with the field biz fills in what happened to wreck their relationship and explains how they wound up married to other people.

Actually, not that. That was shown during episode 3x09, which I'm partway through right now. I mean the snippet shown in the
previouslys, where Kara says "There is nothing here!" or something to that effect. They're definitely on-board a ship during it.

Ah, gotcha. That's from 'Scar' - 2x15. The scene where pilots are drinking and nearly frak in the bunk room, but they don't quite get there.

Completely unrelated to BSG, but I can't think of anywhere else to leave this:

Just a heads-up regarding Emma's second season -- when I posted about it, I mentioned that it was licensed three episodes before the end of the season, and that, taking fansub ethics into account, ii-chan dropped it. Well, another fansub group picked it up recently, and I'm sorry to say I'm not above hounding down those last three episodes... especially considering the extremely frustrating cliffhanger at the end of ii-chan's last fansub.

Also, I know you haven't read all of the manga, but I have to say this again just because they're really doing it -- the anime is deviating. Really deviating, big time, to the point where I don't think I even know what's happening, heh. It's not bad, just really, really strange; it'd probably be less weird to someone who hasn't read the manga ending, but nonetheless the direction this is going in is rather painful... also, the business-related repercussions of William's decisions are much more clear here. In other words, you should expect a little more drama.

Thanks for the update! I'll be back to my home computer (and crappy connection) by the 24th, where I will have it for about a week. If you're willing to upload them, I'd love to grab them. Might have to finish reading the manga, too. Even if I don't watch it right away, I'd still like to get them.

Then they'll be up by the 24th, 25th, definitely. If you want, I can up chapters of the manga as well, if you don't already have it all.

Just finished the second season! Both the manga and anime endings come to the same conclusion, but with a very different string of events in between; of the two, the anime's is by far more dependent on Emma's emotions, but at the same time much more simple. I think I prefer it, and goodness knows I have this huge post ready to explain why. *feels peaceful*
