The only other HP pairing i read is H/L, which is a pretty small shipdom, so I have no comparison. But I do know that D/Hr fandom is TALENTED, yes. Talented and pervy. And you get longfics that are dramatically different in style and in character interpretation, from the sedate college-romance fic that's like 50 bajillion chapters and kind of resembles older-shoujo, to epic battles as the backdrop of epic romance with epic spells, to really dark torture fics or Hurt/comfort stuff.

There was one, can't remember the title, where Draco basically held hermione "hostage" for months while running all around europe to find a horcrux, and it got very stolkhome syndrome, but in reality he was watchdogging her like witness protection or something, and had been a member of the order for a while but holding her hostage or whatever was all a lie. SO NEAT. Stuff like that-- long and creative and very broad. Je suis tout jealous!
