Yes, I skipped the ATLA panel. I just didn't want to listen to the questions I knew the audience would ask. And besides, I've never been that interested in the production side of ATLA. I don't keep myself informed about the writers/directors for ATLA the way I did about Buffy or Doctor Who, and I don't really care about their off-record answers to questions. I am content with the finale in its self-contained awesomeness. And yes, this means I didn't see the fanart "video" thing until that night, on youtube. I am told that the audience loved it, but the online fandom seems disgruntled. I dunno... I just feel kinda sorry for the fanartists. It was hilarious, yeah, but if you didn't like it then that kind of sucks that they used your art to do it. It's like.. they're fan-vidding your fanart of their show. A twisted circle.

I did make it to the ATLA cosplay fan meet-up, however. That was a lot of fun at first, but a bit boring as the day dragged on. I didn't go in any costumes, so mostly I took pictures of other people in their costumes. I've posted some on DeviantArt but I'll make a post here soon too; you my flist will faint when I show you the pictures I took of this one Doctor Who cosplayer, and this other fantastic Firefly Zoe cosplayer.

[livejournal.com profile] irrel and her sis and I sat through the three Stargate panels to get decent seats for the Dr. Horrible panel, but that was cool because I have been a pretty steady viewer of Stargate: Atlantis. My favorite part, however, was Ben Browder. It totally slipped my mind that he'd be there for the "SG1: Continuum" panel, since I barely followed SG1 anyway, but he was very hot. He had a shirt that was partially unbuttoned and looked like he was just strolling around on the weekend or something, whereas many of the other celebs looked more formal. I'm still crushing on him from Farscape, which I've decided I'm going to make [livejournal.com profile] irrel watch after she finishes New Who.

The Dr. Horrible panel was great, very funny, and I'll make a separate post soon, with videos.
