As for that anime comment, the Bros. have come out and said on numerous interviews that they molded the Matrix after anime. Go check your Matrix DVD if you have it and look at the interviews. That's why I like the Matrix. They're huge anime junkies :)

Thanks for the links! And you know, it doesn't surprise me at all to hear that they talked about that in interviews. I remember skimming through a few of them on the DVD and at one point hearing how they deliberately used several anime-style camera views-- like that shot of Trinity on the roof (w/helicopter) where she is holding a gun to the agent's head.
