(no subject)

Ok, so I see the spoilers for Buffy episode 21 are out. Most of the people on my friends list are really good about this, but I just want to remind you all again to HIDE YOUR SPOILERS!

If anyone doesn't know how to do the lj-cut feature which hides text, you can find it in LiveJournal FAQ (on your right) under Journal Entries---> LJ specific tags.

Remember, moods are spoilers too! If your subject tells how incredibly overwrought you are becuase of great tragedy, or mad because you're a hard-core shipper and "something will happen to yuor pairing"-- Not cool! I don't want to accidentally infer that someone died or broke up or confessed "I love you", or whatever mught happen as that series comes to a close. The only non-spoilery emotion is surprise or lack of surprise.

But like I said, most of you are pretty sensitive to this, which is great. I just wanted to put it up because this is the _series_finale_, and I don't want to be accidentally ruined for it, not a bit.

Curiosity, I think mine is pretty ambiguous since "Holy crap" can be both positive an negative. But you tell me. I really don't want to spoil anyone accidentally.

As a mood icon, "indescribable" works beautifully, for Ecstatic Beyond Words or Enraged To The Point Of Incoherency both. *g* I also notice people using "quixotic", though I think some people think it means "weird-ish" and not "foolishly optimistic"...

I hope I didn't spoil you with mine -- I think I was too incoherent, as my subject line was, "What! What...what?" And hyper (as a mood) doesn't really give away much either.

But again, I admire you SO MUCH for staying spoiler free. I am going to try for the final ep, but I'm not promising anything. ;)

sing it sister please!

It's so hard to find people who want to talk about the series but who aren't spoiled, isn't it - drives me nuts. I have had to leave all of my usual lists and sign up for one unspoiled list only, for the duration. Don't have many LJ friends who post on Buffy but do I ever second you, third you, back you up to the nth. I do not want to know. Thanks for saying so!

Wanted to recommend a yahoo group if you really are serious about staying spoiler-free: "Spoiler_Virgins". It was pretty quiet till a couple of weeks ago, now it has 88 members, all determined to stay unspoiled for the finale (and the episodes leading up to it). The discussions are pretty good because - among other things - you can speculate without wondering if the deafening silence that greets your speculation is just because it's totally lame, or is it that everybody knows you're dead wrong but don't want to spoil you by saying so?

Also the list isn't a downer. Unlike a lot of spoiler lists, I've noticed. The reason I decided to avoid spoilers was I noticed that they made me very angsty, really got me down. Unspoiled, I can really enjoy the series.

Well, as I've repeated to the point of pitiful broken-recordness, I am fiercely spoiler free, because(1) the spoiler discussions really are misleading and unnecessarily distressing, and (2) I am determined to win a hot luscious Freedom Kiss for the Spoiler Free from Ultimate Drew. He promised.

Just wanted to mention a well-known spoilerific source to AVOID, AVOID, AVOID, and that's the good ol' "TV Guide". God, they are lame.
