All the cameras seemed permanently focused on Salma Hayek's breasts.

I'm surprised Chicago won over The Hours and The Pianist. Especially since LOTR was a better movie than Chicago, for all I enjoyed the latter.

I think it was a poor mark on the Acedemy to give Roman Polanski a personal award, or even to nominate him. The possibility of giving a collaberative work like a feature film the Best Picure award is one thing (and it seems like everyone agrees The Pianist was an amazing movie), but to give the man personally award is a mistake. And I wish he had shown up personally, so he could have gotten arrested.

I'm sad I missed Adrian Brody's acceptance speech. It sounds from everyone else like it was adorable.

I :heart: Michael Moore. Even though he was boo-ed off-stage by the same audience that clapped for his winning, and even though he took the opportunity to shamelessly spout his politics-- can you blame him?What better opportunity for attention-- I still think his movies kick ass and he deserved it.

The chicago performance was nice. good singing, though I missed a lot of the dancing, because I was eating dinner at the time.

I'd never believe a word from her anyway. And it makes me sorry that for an artist with so many fans, instead of selling sexual freedom as a right of womanhood, she's selling the idea that the only thing you have worth selling is your sexuality. And, she's frelling stupid. At least her public comments always are.

I know I've said this before, so if it comes off as broken-record-sounding, please forgive me, but I will never believe they were really dating. From what I heard, the overtures to appear publicly together were made completely by her "people" and afterward Colin would disappear to go pubcrawling with his friends.

Besides, he was at the Oscars with his pregnant girlfriend. Who wasn't Britney, I might add.
