new thought: This last episode probably seriously upped theories of Spike's Oedipedal complex, with the direct verbal comparison between Drusilla and his mother.


Also, was it canon before now that the NY slayer's name was Nikki? I thought that was just a fanfic trend.

Yes, it's in the "Fool for Love" shooting script that her name was Nikki even though it was never mentioned in the episode. One continuity mistake was the last name Spike's mom said Cecily's was. I think she said the Underwood's eldest girl & in the shooting script for "Fool for Love" her last name is Addams.
