I'm not crazy. This is the internet, and I'm a commited fangirl. Je suis.
1. I'm finally ready to come to grips with my fan grief over Spike. After much mourning I've dealt with loss of the show, and now it's time to grieve for my guy.
I'm ready. So here's a moment of silence.
...
And now I'm going to repost a quote I found a several months ago, again to say how appropriate it is. The essence of Spike and Spuffy.
" Things base and vile, holding no quantity
Love can transpose to form and dignity. "
-William Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night's Dream

In other similar news, I've now got hella fic to read. Thanks, guys! And keep 'em comin'.

LOL.
As ashamed as I am about that, love it too. I'm *such* a Spuffy...

Aye to that.
Saw Midsummer Night's Dream in the new Shakespeare's Globe on the shores of the Thames in London last year, as a groundling, of course. Wonderfulness ensued...

Re:
See, that's why I grieve. Because the Spike I want to watch, the Spike who loved Buffy, changed for love, and saved the world... he's dead. The new Spike might still be a vampire, might still love Buffy, but like Buffy coming back from the grave, he won't be exactly the same. And that could mean the end of my favorite ship.
. No one seemed to care about the 'ship. Even so called shippers.
We're in denial. We know that Spike going to LA means likely no fluffy reunion, and increases the chance that, if Buffy should return, she might choose Angel next time when faced with both of them.
We're in denial. So we're writing hordes of human!Spike!Ressurrection fic. See previous post.

See, I'd be writing protest letters at this point, or whatever. This is exactly why I wasn'st singing praises about the finale. Angel back out of wood work. I rebuke thee demon! Back to LA! Why 20th century fox wants to keep milking this disturbing and not to mention dead horse is beyond me. B/A was ick back in season one and it's even more ick now. But you're right. I forsee perpetuation of evil and contrived love triangle shit next season on Angel, or to quote the Dawson's Creek finale, quadrangle (Joey had a bf back in NY even though she was still jonsing for both Dawson and Pacey).

I refuse to be in denial. I'm angry and disappointed. Though the fic is a balm. Joss can kiss my arse and 20th FOX can kiss my arse. Boo ya.
Btw, I have an extra, Special Lina Double Disc Anime Mix. I made them yesterday. Want it?

I've always wondered that. Not so much why people like B/A (although I think it's boring compared to B/S or Angel/Darla, I do get that shippers get fixated), but why the marketing people seem to cling to it four years after it was written out-- by BOTH shows. If it had really been picked up all the time in the story, sure, I can see why the programming people would attach themselves to it. But it's such a dead horse that the reviving of it is... lame. But then I think all B/A is lame and icky.
