1. So... watching late anime again. Had an excellent InuYasha episode. Trigun and Cowboy Bebop both seem to have stopped airing. This distresses me; I was hoping to see some Bebop repeats.

'Reign' is on right now. I have the volume down way low and am not watching. I passionately dislike the animation style and character design for this show. I can't get past the look of the characters enough to bother with learning the plot.

2. My Netflix DVD of Ranma 1/2 came in today. It was of one of my favorite moments from the manga-- when Ryouga learns that technique (shishi hokodan?) that relies on depression-ki. And then Ranma and he fight and get into a pissing contest about who can be more depressed... Ryouga wins that, but barely. Still, it's hard to be more pathetic than Ryouga. Probably why he's my favorite character. ^-^

3. I'm now watching the second half of Cartoon Network's Adult Swim just for the commercials. That's sad. Then again, I'm also on the comp so it's not like that's all I'm doing. Which would be really sad.

I should be sleeping. I want to read Ranma/Akane fic.

4. The picto-grams next to the reset and on/off buttons on the outside of the computer box irritate me. I generally disapprove of pictograms on principle, but I admit in things like labeling car-door window controls, they are spacially efficient. However, why is it necessary to have them on the outside of a computer? There's acres of white plastic space on which to write the three letter word 'OFF', or even, :gasp: the five letter word 'RESET'. And honestly, it's not like an illiterate person would have any use for a computer anyway. And if its some sor tof international standard business... they failed. I don't understand the visual relation between two arrows & a circle and "reset" as a word.

5. I started a Ranma 1/2 fanfic tonight. the DVd got me in the mood. It began with the idea of the girl-type Ranma kissing the boy-type Ranma on the mouth to transfer something from her essence to his, something to do with the curse.

I didn't write that scene.

I started with a scene about kissing and jealousy and the Ranma/Akane/Ryouga triangle. As soon as I figure out a plot, I'll work that other scene into it somehow.

6. I found out that the author of one of my new most favorite Hermione/Draco fanfics, Into The Dark, has a livejournal. Whee.

7. I thought of the end of Buffy and B/S several times today, and almost cried in the car when Coldplay's "The Scientist" came on, which reminded me of John/Aeryn of Farscape, and their deaths, which reminded me of Spike's death, and all these deaths of my favorite characters was almost enough to do me in.
I didn't cry, though. But I really tried, you understand.
I also thought of B/S and Spike while I was making dinner for myself. Microwave pre-made Ravioli, not that has anything to do with Spike. I got sad, then happy, then sad again.

My show's over. My ship is over. I'm now reduced to Harry Potter fanfic, and actually enjoyng it.

Five years from now I'll still be whining that Buffy's ended.

Fuck it, I only had two years with that show! I needed more!

Rashaka,
Have you read the fic "Nothing Like the Sun" by Victoria P.? It's really excellent and I highly recommend it. It's here:

http://silverlake.imjustsayin.net/victoriap-nothinglikesun.html

And I have to rec "Your Darkest Voice" by Ivy Blossom. I think it's probably the most savagely beautiful and well-written HP fanfic I've come across. There's definitely squicky subject matter (Ginny/Bill, Ginny/Draco, Ginny/Harry, Harry/Draco) but it's dealt with in a mature way. It can be found at:

Oh you must it's excellent. Especially the two episodes by Shinichiro Watanabe, the artwork and stories on "Kid's Story" and "A Detectives Story" are amazing.

Is it a bad thing that I want Wantanbe-san to adopt me?????? I mean hell it's either him, Joss, Stan Lee, or Bruce Campbell.

Exactly. I feel like my show ended in an early season. I feel unjustly denied. I want more gravy.
