Sudden thought.

If Spike is going over the Angel next season, why would they have hired that same guy to play the scientist in Home as played Holden, the vampire that Spike sired? I mean, I noticed from when Home aired that they were the same, but I hadn't thoguht about the implications of the JM casting spoiler until now.
Did they cast that guy for Angel before knowing that Spike would join the cast? Is this some sinister spoilery plot where identities will be of significance, in which case I don't want to know anyway, but isn't it tweaky to think about?

It's probably no different than the Halfrek/Cecily actress casting. But it's not like I actually know anything. Though I do think the Angel finale was in the can...or close to being in the can before the decision to move JM to the show.

Most likely. Though that's a bit more difficult to explain; at least Cecily lived a hundred years before Halfrek showed up at Buffy's house. I suppose they could just never put Spike and Nox (?) in the same scene together, and no one would notice.

Oooh, heavy.

I'm pretty sure I read an interview that says Knox (Jonathon Woodward) will be reappearing next year.

First of all, it all depends. If Spike comes back with the classic soap opera amnesia, then he's not going to remember anyway. If he *does* remember Holden, then I think ME will probably end up using it as an in-joke with the fans or something.

KNOX: Hi, I'm Knox. Knox Webster?
SPIKE: Hmm... I think I killed your identical twin brother last year.
KNOX: ??????
ANGEL: Ignore him. Too many knocks to the head, you know...

Oh, and I love your hottie icon. Can I use it?

Woah. Somebody wants to use an icon *I* made?

That's just... Woah.

Yeah. I think it's pretty cool. A little too dark, but nice. I mean there's Wesley, Spike, and Angel. hotties all around.

Eh, Tom Lenk also played one of Harmony's minions, and Doyle's ex-wife's fiancee was in Anne, Bachelor Party, and Serenity.

Holden!Actor has now been on all three shows (he's in an unaired episode of Firefly) as well. They like to reuse actors they like.

(Yes, he was cast before JM going over was ironed out.)

I remembered Tom Lenk.

(Yes, he was cast before JM going over was ironed out.)

I thought that might be the case.

I'm SO glad you said that!! I spent the whole of Home going "Is that Holden?" Glad to see I'm not insane

No, you're not insane. I noticed instantly, product of my obessessing over CWDP.

And just to add to the conversation regarding recycling actors, the same guy that played Rack in S6, also played the psychotic vampire in Helpless, way back in S3.

At least by recycling actors, ME knew what they were getting, which in theory is a good idea. Even if it's cheap.

Hm. I don't remember well enough, but I believe you.

Thanks, but just to refresh, Jeff Kober (http://us.imdb.com/Name?Kober,+Jeff)

And I also found Camden Toy (http://us.imdb.com/Name?Toy,+Camden) who played one of the Gentlemen, The Gnarl (from STSP) and the Ubervamp.
