I love Sundays. My do-nothing days.

You know, I always thought Once Upon A December, from the soundtrack to Anastasia would be a fantastic 1st season Sailor Moon music video.

Anastasia was a cute litlte animated movie. I liked both the main characters quite a bit. John Cusak does sexy voice acting.

Dancing bears, painted wings
Things I almost remember
And a song someone sings
Once upon a December
Someone holds me safe and warm
horses prance through a silver storm
figures dancing gracefully
across my memory
Far away, long ago
Glowing dim as an amber
Things my heart used to know
once upon a December

Far away, long ago
glowing dim as an ember
Things my heart, used to know
things it yearns to remember
And a song someone sings
once upon a December

Just as long as it's not the Deanna Carter version...

Oooh... I loved Anastasia. That came out during those years when Disney just completely lost it so far as their Animated films went...

Yeah. Everything between Lion King and Lilo & Stitch was a waste of time. Meanwhile other people were making entertaining things like Anastasia and the amazing The Iron Giant.

I haven't seen The Iron Giant, I suppose I should. What has Disney made since Lilo & Stitch? I did actually see that one and it was pretty cute although it was not my favourite. But it wasn't a waste of my time either.

I'd say that was the second best aniamted film I've ever seen, above the Lion King and below Spirited Away.

It's not a musical, but it's a little hard to describe it without talking about the whole thing and ruining it for you. Mostly, I loved the subtley of it. And the characters were wonderful: the boy, the boy's single mom, the junkyard-artist, the giant iron robot, the NSA agent who acted like Fox Mulder on PCP.

It's set in the Cold War era. There's this hilarious little moment when the boy's in class and we see the animated version of those old propoganda films about hiding under your desk from the atom bomb. Touches like that made the movie.

Also, I got really sad at several points. And any animated movie that can almsot make me cry gets high score.

What has Disney made since Lilo & Stitch? I did actually see that one and it was pretty cute although it was not my favourite. But it wasn't a waste of my time either.

I liked Lilo & Stitch a lot, much more than any of Disney's I had seen in a while (I don't count Pixar movies, btw), though not as good as The Iron Giant or Spirited Away. The next film was Treasure Planet, which I have not seen yet.

I'll definately have to put that on my list then. That and Sprited Away, but that one's already on my list of eventually's. I think I heard someone say they liked Treasure Planet and it might be a rent some evening...

Have you seen Princess Mononoke? That's a gorgeous film. It's rated pg-13, and is definitely not a disney film, but that makes it all the better.

Oooh. Yes I have. A friend of mine and I watched it a while ago, because it seems like somebody... was Neil Gaiman involved with that one somehow? It's been too long but someone we liked was involved with it. And it was a really pretty film.

It was written and directed and basically made by Hayao Miyazaki, who also made Spirited Away. Neil Gaimon was the writer who wrote the English translation.

not so sad at all. ^_^

I had a thing for him. He was very thing-worthy. i liekd that he was skinny, not like the really muscle-drawn characters like the John Smith character from Pocahontas and various others. I liked that he was a scoundrel but really sweet and had a poor background. It appealed to my romantic: "Princesses don't marry kitchen boys." This one would!

Since I discovered anime I found lots of animated characters that I have things for. I have a thing for Duo Maxwell, and Nicholas Wolfwood, and Spike Spiegel and Vash the Stampede...
