gripe gripe

I'm so embarrassed about this whole Gray Davis recall. One political faction makes the entire state look foolish for their campaign. Did Davis commit a crime? Was he immorally or unethically abusing our state resources on a radical level? No. We should not be trying to recall an elected official just because some people disagree with his policy decisions. That's not what the recall system is for. The Republican party is invalidating the entire election process by doing this. And the money. Millions of dollars wasted for a recall that shouldn't be happening in the first place, when our state is already suffering massive deficits? Not what we need. Besides, why don't people realize that its the state legislature, not Davis, that controls the budget? Why don't we toss them out too?

I was gonna go to Valley Fair in about half an hour, and try to give them job applications. You're welcome to join me, but it might be boring.

Or, if you want to do something, I could always go tomorrow. It's all really kinda flexible. I have from now until Monday free. To be honest it is kinda late to go for the job thing; i'd be getting home just for traffic. Eww.

What did you ahve in mind?

Word.

And it's not even the Republicans as a whole, but small portion who see this as their chance to grab power.

What really amazes me was watching people who would never go near the Repulican Party avidly getting signatures because it'd been presented to them as being necessary to the good of the state and never realizing who was behind it.

Exactly. And I tell you: suddenly being faced with the possibility of having Arnold as my Governor, I've started to question that.

I heard a worse one -- apparently there's a group trying to convince Arianna Huffington to run. ::shudder::

Do you watch The Daily Show? Jon Stewart had the best critique of this last night. In all this insanity, he always manages to make me feel better. ::squeezes Jon Stewart way too tight::

I don't know if it's on Fridays. It's not "daily" in the strictest sense.
