Although, if I'm going to be active or wear tight pants, I go for the tampons.

I'm a pad person, myself. I can never forget if I'm wearing a tampon-- it's a constant irritation for me. But I do use it for swimming.

in two years i will have reached the point that i have spent twice as many years with periods as there were years before i got my period. i was 10. jeez. tampon girl here. all the way. pads feel absolutely foul. like diapers--even the super-thin kind. i've just had so many menstrual emergencies that i have absolutely no faith in them to keep me, or my clothing, clean. =P & you waste so blinkin' much toilet paper rolling them into neat little throw-away packages.

I use the wrapper of the new one to wrap up into a throw-away-able package. I use the super-thing kind of pads, because I can't stand the feeling of tampons, expecially taking them out.

once again, i'm showing my age. the last time i used pads was before those neat little wrapper thingies were available. back in the day, you just opened the box, & there they all were, packed flat & white & pristine like giant bandaids.

Sounds... musty.

Dude, I REALLY so agree with you. They're like diapers, and just really, really gross. Plus, they keep everything all moist down there and that just can't be healthy. I'm sure lots of people must be okay with them, or else there wouldn't be pads being sold, but to me they're just nasty.

Wow. Pads are winning? Weird.

Obviously, tampon girl myself. As the commercials (and everyone above) claim, pads feel like a diaper. The only time I use them is when I've got major cramps.

Out of curiosity, what made you make this poll? (I hope you haven't already answered this in a later post...I'm on skip-40 right now.)

Pads don't feel like diapers to me; I get the kotex ultra-thin ones and forget that they're there most of the time. Conversely, I can never forget that I'm wearing a tampon. It's this constant irritation, not discomfort so much as annoyance. I can always feel it there, and I don't like it. Also, I hate taking them out.

What made me make this poll? Curiosity, really. I had my period over vacation last week, and later when I got home, I said "I wonder..."
