Those gosh darn low down Otaku blues

I am suffering a great, horrid tragedy that only another anime fan can truly appreciate.

I have the ENTIRE series of Turn "A" Gundam on 17 VCDs, in lovely quality. My brother-unit gave it to me from Japan, because he loves me so.

And it's in Japanese with Chinese subtitles.

I know absolutely zero Chinese. None.

I know maybe 15 random Japanese words (thank you SM fanfic.)

In other words, I have a whole new show at my fingertips, in pristine completion, and I don't understand shit that's going on.

Chinese subtitles. Woe is me!

Ugh. That sucks ass. I'm not an anime fan, but if you somehow got screencaps of all those episodes, I could translate for you.

I know, not feasible. But there's definitely some serious pain that needs to be remedied somehow. *gives you Kleenex*

Well, I could throw a few at you. Just to see if they really are in Chinese. It might be Korean, or something. What's your email addy? I'll send you one and you can see if you recognize the subtitles, perhaps.

He also gave me episodes 1-15 of Eva! In English, but still way coolness. Haven't watched that show in about 2 years or so, and it will be good to see it again. He promises to give me the rest of Eva when he drives up this weekend. It's all on a DVD, but luckily he gave me a spare DVD player that he didn't need anymore, so I can install that on my computer too and watch.
