I want a boyfriend with pretty eyes, so I can say "Turn around, bright eyes."

'Tis a poem by John Donne, Elegy XIX: To His Mistress Going to Bed.

License my roving hands, and let them go
Before, behind, between, above, below.
O my America! my new-found-land,
My kingdom, safeliest when with one man manned,
My mine of precious stones, my empery,
How blest am I in this discovering thee!
To enter in these bonds is to be free;
Then where my hand is set, my seal shall be.

weirdly possessive.... but such pretty language. Funny thing, I'm giving a class presentation about John Donne to my Lit class tomorrow morning. We were focusing on his holy sonnets and romantic poems though.
