ladyoneill told me that David Fury and Steven DeKnight wrote Destiny. And Drew is indeed on the writing staff (yeah!) -- he wrote Lineage.

Me too! The coolest thing is that it might have been entirely unintentional. After all the cup thing not only resembled the Holy Grail concept, but the fac tthat it was about "eternal torment" also brings to mind Norse mythology and the god Loki, and also the every popular "fountain of eternal life" concept... so they probably picked it out for those reasons. And then it just...perfectly gels.

Alhough maybe one of the writers was watching FFL on FX the night before... ;)
