--this is where I was interrupted so my mother could ask what "rec" meant. I was kinda shocked. Stupid internet fandom invades your homelife and slips into your speaking pattern without permission!

uh... I dunno. But in English it's a prefix, meaning "ultimate", or something along that. In the show Buffy (and carried over into the fandom), we can set it in front of anything, instead of just a role/person.
