1. I'm not down with all the AtS ep titles yet. Is tonight a new episode?

2. I got 4 hours of sleep last night.

3. I did well on a group presentation on Sylvia Plath this morning

4. Everytime I see Governor Swartzzza in the newspaper I feel like I'm stuck in a movie, where Arnold's character got elected by accident and is jovially bumbling his way through the governmental process to a cute and cheerfully Republican ending... that will fuck us over royally soon after. How many more years of this?

Maybe it will be a cute and cheerful republican ending, with no fucking over royally required? Strangely, the more pessimistic everyone else gets the more I become the peppy optimist. I guess I enjoy being contrary. Besides, if it all goes to shit, there's always another recall.

Good. I tend to be overly cautious in writing because things can be interpreted wrong when you can't hear tone of voice, etc. I just worried that maybe you weren't in the mood for cheering. I know sometimes, I just want to vent and not be cheered up. It's hard to discern when you aren't face to face.

I know that problem. It can be frustrating. Also frustrating is when you're trying to convey your disagreement or unsatisfaction with something to the person you're in a conversation, not in a ranty way (as my post was a bit) but in a "I don't want to talk about this now" way, and then the person thinks you're angry (when you're not, you just don't care to talk about it) and they start fretting because they don't want to offend anyone, and then the apologies start to get annoying, and pretty soon you're annoyed anyway, even when you weren't before. It's a vicious cycle, yo.
