Photoshop image help

I have a picture here, and I'd like to lighten the girl's hair. I have Photoshop, but I'm not very adept at using it. I wanted to know if anyone could lighten her hair for me, or instruct me on how to do so. Pretty please? ::smooches::

I duplicated the picture, set the second layer to screen, and then masked out everything but the hair. Hopefully that's close to what you're looking for. :)

It makes things lighter. Somehow. ;) You could probably do something similar by making a duplicate layer, masking (or erasing) everything but the hair, and just playing with the brightness.

(oops - I realized that I'd left a little bit of white on one of the fingers, so I fixed that.)
