yep. it always surprises me when brilliant people do things that to me seem... evil. like, smarts should predicate empathy as well. not always the case.

and yeah, i understand the scientific and cultural context and the thrill of the experiment and all but...

I haven't seen the video myself. I imagine it was bad though. As my professor told us, the animal was out of control and crazy, but it was after putting it down with electricity that they realized they could use it for executions.
