1. I've never gotten a brain-freeze. Instead (since I was a child), I get a sharp, piercing pain right between my shoulder blades. Hurts like all hell. Ever been stabbed in the back? I get stabbed every time I drink a slurpy.
2. I've considered buying a ferret as a pet later in life.
3. I've been around sailboats since I was 4.
4. I'm 19 now.
5. I love broccolli, hate asparagus.
6. I'm a teenage American female otaku fanfiction writer, and I'm guilty of every fandom sin that implies, except writing twincest.
7. My parents are always telling me about this time at age 3 when I ran out into the living room butt-naked with a blanket for a cape, fake sword waving in the air and claiming I was She-Ra with my Sword Of Power. I have no memory of this, but it sounds like me.
8. I have love of swords.
9. I'm fascinated by the permanence of tattoos, but doubt I'll ever really get one.
10. I've got a pretty low ranking in Aikido, because I stopped taking lessons a while ago. But I loved it, and will again in the future.
11. I'm a virgin.
12. I've known since early elementry school that I didn't want to be a teacher or a doctor. Because that's what everyone else always said, and I'm rebellious that way.
13. I have a goal never to be bored in my life because of my job.
14. I have no job. Q.E.D.
15. I've never been on an official "date," but I did managed to get kissed before graduating HS at least. That's what fandom conventions are for, I tell ya.
16. I've been reading fanfic since 7th grade, as much of it NC-17 as not.
17. I really think a lot of people say they can't draw, but it's because they've never taken an art class not because they're somehow lacking. Everyone who takes a good art class can become passable at it.
18. Most rap music makes my head hurt and my righteous female indignation rise to the surface.
19. I hate coffee.
20. I prefer Breyer's Strawberry ice cream or Baskin Robbins' Mint Chocolate Chip, please.
21. I can't read NC-17 fic for Sailor Moon. My brain just collaspes every time.
22. I disapprove of recreational drug use, illegal or not: for myself, because I dislike having my judgement impaired; and for others-- because I think anyone who willfully puts themselves under addiction is a fucking idiot.
23. I loved the movie Trainspotting. Even though I did think they were fucking idiots (see above). But cute and funny idiots.
24. When I was little I used to draw pictures from bird's-eye-view.
25. I feel it's every smoker's legal right to poison themselves to a slow and painful death, but not in front of me while we're standing in line.
26. I have painted my own room, for the first time. Which means I'm covered in blue & white paint as I type this. It also means that my room has been rearranged and crowded so much that I'm sleeping in the living room.
27. I like full-length mirrors as opposed to any other shape.
28. I read a lot. When I was growing up I was surprised to realize that other people didn't.
29. I once took piano lessons, but was terible at it. Now all I can play by memory is Allouette and Hark the Heral Angels Sing.
30. If I wanted to make myself cry on the spot as a child, I would imagine my parents getting a divorce. The idea terrified me.
31. I'm a slacker
32. I love words- prose, poetry, rhetoric, dialogue. Words are my passion.
33. I'm selectively nosy, but rarely pushy.
34. I keep terribly sleeping hours. We're talking 2am to 11am.
35. I like art. I love art museums and art festivals.
36. I've spoken to the glas artist Dale Chihuly twice, and got to listen to him lecture. I still can't afford to buy his work, though.
37. My room is sloppy but my car is neat.
38. I've been in more than one car wreck.
39. I've never gotten a speeding ticket.
40. I love those little figurines and statues of dragons you buy in fantasty/comic stores. I have four big ones.
41. I love to bake deserts, but generally dislike cooking.
42. I adore seeing films in theater, a prefer to stay till the end credits. I also love to tour around and look at the movieposters.
43. I'm a dog person with delusions of cat affection.
44. I got a Leatherman WAVE tool for graduation last year, and I carry it around with me places. It's the coolest thing ever, though I rarely actually use it. But it will last me 50 years or something. If you recognize it, it was used in the Terminator 3 movie. That scene where they were driving away from the cemeatary, and T3 asks for a cutting insturment. I thought "Wow, my tool thingy would be perfect for this." And John Connorpulls one out fo his backpack! I felt so in-the-know.
45. I keep a compass on my keychain. Just in case I'm ever stranded on an abandonned Caribbean island and somehow still have my keys. It's also in a cute wooden box thingy.
46. I drink diet coke and hardly any other soda.
47. I read almost exlusively Spuffy fic.
48. I'm very flexible.
49. I'm horrible at telling jokes.
50. I have good eyebrows.
51. My favorite books are: The Waste Lands, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Ender's Game, and The Hobbit.
52. I've never been this active or particapatory in anything online until I joined Buffy fandom in season 6.

That was a shock for me too. It wasn't until I was about 17 that I realized there were people out there who hated reading or simply didn't make time to read. I think think it's weird.
And heh. Now I have "Allouette" in my head. We sang it every day in French class for 6 years.

Actually I can relate to a disturbing amount of stuff on your meme, like your sleeping habits, love of art, Spuffy addiction, and aversion to speeding tickets. Other stuff on the meme, not so much. But, still.

I have TONS of these in common with you, but this one was the coolest. I just love the way you phrased that! Heh. I'm a dork.
The permanence of tattoos always intrigues me too. Ditto to all the drug use, Buffyverse issues and horribleness at telling jokes as well. How did you come up with all of these? I'd have been stuck at 9.

It's like: I want one, I really do, but then what if I hate it later? So I figure, as long as I'm still in doubt, best to wait for it.

If you check the pattern you can see that I wavered in the last 10, resorting to things like fandom comments and weak ones like "I'm very flexible." ;)

I'd probably get stuck really quickly and then just look through others' posts and adapt mine from theirs. I think I need to get to know myself better somehow. ;)
