Head over Heels, by Tears For Fears

Best. Song. Ever.

Love this song. It's on almost every single one of my mix disks. Sad, I know.

I like the rest of the song pretty well. Great lyrics, and catchy to sing, especially the chorus. But the opening is my favorite part. The... what are those-- bells? Keyboard? Whatever it is, I love the tune and the over-lay-er-y effect.

And weirdly, for me it will always be associated with the Donnie Darko film, the scene where all the kids jump from the school bus and the camera sort of follows them through the halls of the school, past various cliques and characters. That's where I first heard the song, and they played it from the beginning. It was all very music-video-like.

By the way, I adore your icon. Spike+Cookie!Buffy4EVA! ::snert::

Can I use it? Because it's purrrrfecto.

You may take any icon of mine that you like! Please do!

And Tears For Fears rules. And yes, it's keyboards in the beginning. I only know the video, not Donny Darko. I love the video, even though there's a chimp in it and I hate chimps. The only thing worse than chimps are chimps in clothing. The only thing worse than chimps in clothing are chimps in clothing riding a tricycle. God that's just bad, dude.

Is this some kind of great but secret monkey vs. chimp rivalry? Where's the all love in the primate world gone? ::sings:: Long time passing...

I'll bet some chimp stole your banana cream pie when you were young, and you vowed eternal blood fued, didn't you.

Icons! as you will soon tell when I press send, I've got a new default! I love the Buffy pic you chose... she looks really pretty there. What is that from, anyway?

Hmm... the simple "want" kitchen-B/S one on your page is very pretty. Do you remember what text that is?

I saved the "who wants spike to take off his shirt?" icon. Because my expression would be exactly like hers.

Hmmm...I think the Buffy pic is from....um...'Same Time Same Place' I believe. She does look cute as a bug there, doesn't she?

The 'Want' text is probably 'Porcelain'. I'm pretty sure.

I love the Spike take of shirt icon. It's sooo funny. And it's funny cause it's true.

thanks! I think I'll go find that font. You can never have to many pretty cursivey fonts sitting around on your comp and never once being used. Just to know that they're there, you know.

I love me some shirtless Spike.

If you get a chance, rent the movie Donnie Darko. You'd like it. Anyone with a sense of humor would like it, and with a taste for well-written complex stories, interestng characters, and just a bit of science fiction (it kind of creeps up on you.) It's one of my favorite films. There's so much of the dialogue that I love from it. Plus it has that pretty Gary Jules version of the Tears For Fears song Mad World. The GJ version was recorded for Donnie Darko and it's used in the film.

Trust me it's not till near the end anyway and by then you'll be so absorbed in the story you won't care or notice.

Crazy Train, Ozzy Osbourne
Come Sail Away, Styx
Closer to the Heart, Rush
Fly Like an Eagle, Steve Miller Band
Night Moves, Bob Seger
Wheel in the Sky, Journey
Land Down Under, Men At Work
Battle of Evermore, Led Zeppelin

This could easily turn into a favorite song list, so I'll stop here. (Thank you for your review of CotP!)
