Fic! Ficcy fic fic!

Title: Don't Look Back
Link: http://www.fanfiction.net/read.php?storyid=1858266&time=1084345409
Timeline: in the middle of Real Folk Blues II
Summary: Spike's final hours on the Bebop, for better or worse, in sickness and in health.

I was listening to Nada Surf's cover of "If You Leave" while I wrote this, and it's very much lyric/music inspired. The cover version is a little slower and sadder than the original song, but I think that's because the lyrics are pretty sad when you stop and listen to them.

I wrote this tonight. So it's short. It is also my first Faye/Spike that I actually completed and posted anywhere. Go me! ::jumps with pompoms like Young!Faye::

Warning: this is angsty and kinda bitter. But then you probably guessed that by the title, didn't you? And don't worry, I didn't just forget about Julia.

This has nothing to do with your post. I just notcied you at http://www.hogsmeadehosted.net/beautifulalone/... And have you by any chance read the Rhapsody series? The name Rashaka is from it... but a Rashaka is a type of beast.... yes, just wondering. I'm done now. You can ignore me.

I'm afraid I don't know what you mean. Is Rhapsody a fanfiction series, or a book series? Either way, no, haven't read it. I invented the name Rashaka as a variation of "Rashka" which I got from Rudyard Kipling's The Jungle Book. It means "demon" and is the name of the boy Mowgli's wolf mother. I added an extra "a" in the middle to make it easier to say and more my own.

That was actually sad and I'll tell you why. While I was reading it, I was listening to Blue from CB and of course toward the end, especially with the last sentence, I was on the end of the fic, the really good musical part and the really sad last line so of course I was like, "Deeeeeep..." =) Nice, though, just sad. =(

Not that part! ::cries sobs for Spike::

Yeah, I got all sad writing it too. And an intense desire to smack Spike upside the head... though mostly sad for lost loves all around.
