I bought the PS2 game Kingdom Hearts two days ago, and have been playing it little by little. My main reaction so far has been thus:

Seriously, this game is adorable and I love it. Why did it take me so long to buy it. It's got Donald Duck talking to Squall from FF8 and Yuffie from FF7. In English! Kawaii! And now I'm in Wonderland and it's so frelling cute! And the puzzles actually take a little bit of thought on my part.

Side note: Squall/Leon's voice sounds really familiar. Really. And it's driving me nuts.

EDIT: Well DUH! Now I feel silly. Of course it's familiar. It's David Boreanaz! It's ANGEL!!

Huh... Angel is Squall. ::facefaults: Weirdness. Now I have to take my characters back to Traverse Town just so I can listen to him again.

My brother played that game awhile back, and I freaked him out one day by just randomly bursting into the room and going "Waitwait, that's DAVID BOREANAZ!"

I am a hugehuge fan of Final Fantasy, but Kingdom Hearts was just too cutesy for me.

You're now playing KH? You know KH2 is coming in 2005, right? Hurry up and beat it. But, be warned, it's a mutherfucker to beat. Especially the secret boss at the Arena. Bonus points if you figure out who's doing his voice.

I've gone through the bosses pretty easily so far. I end up getting stuck on little details. Like right now I'm having a shitty time trying to locate the last slide at Tarzan's camp.

'Fraid I can't help you there. It's been years since I played it. But, I'm sure you can find it over at gamefaqs.com if you're really desperate. If I remember correctly, you really didn't have to hunt that much in Tarzan's stage for stuff. As for the difficulty, it ramps up once you get to Atlantica. And, make sure you collect all ninety-nine dalmations for the special ending.

He's certainly got the brooding down well. Mmm...LeonSquall.

you should hear it pretty early on. It's in the first "world", but sort of the second level... the first level after the long introduction level, anyway.

I can't believe I didn't recognize his voice. I was stuck there for ages the first time I played while I tried to figure out what I was doing.

that's the main problem I've had with the game so far. I always feel like I'm wandering around without any idea of what to next. I'm in the jungle right now and it's especially a problem here.

Bah. I would've given you my copy. I gave up after the tedium of the treasure hunt on the island.

Think I'll get FFX-2, even though I got my ass handed to me by Jecht in the previous one.

I haven't finished FFX. I am stuck on Seymour #2. Or... #3. Whatever. the cliff monster sized version.

Well... any other games you're interested in giving away? I don't have a very wide selection yet. I think I own 6 games in total.

Lessee...ther's Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance, No One Lives Forever, GTA 3, Metal Gear Solid 2, and an assload of PS1 games. Anything(s) you're looking for in particular? The ps2 hasn't been getting much play ever since I got my Xbox modded.

um... anything you wouldn't miss? I don't want to be a bother. I don't know any of those games, though. I have so far:

Kingdom Hearts
Beyond Good & Evil

The last one I like quite the most, but those are generally my tastes. Actiony stuff. not really into first person shooter.
