I'm downloading an episode of the live action version of Sailor Moon on bittorrent. Episode 35 (where her moon princessness is revealed) as opposed to episode 1, because that's all they had.

I'm not particularly excited--- I lost interest in Sailor Moon at least 5 years ago. But I admit I'm kinda curious about what the Japanese live action looks like.

And besides, what better use is there for DSL than downloading things just because you can?

that's not going to make any sense for you. this storyline has very little to do with the manga or anime, so you're going to be totally lost.

besides, it takes a few episodes to ease into the cheesiness and then fully enjoy it. :D

yes all of it actually. following it very closely, extremely annoyed with the last episode.. stupid filler episodes. :D

I saw a few screencaps once of the show. Oh it was horrifying. I'm hoping for a good giggle.

I'm glad! ::huggles:: I stressed over picking the songs for a long time. There were some that I knew I wanted from moment 1 (Promise, The Old Apartment, Bittersweet Symphony), some that came natural as soon as I pondered the question (All That Jazz, Nautical Wheelers, Sunday Bloody Sunday), and some that it took me forever to match up right (Bad Moon Rising, Maxwell's Silver Hammer, Cast No Shadow). And then I stressed over the name of the mix too. I'm happy with "Almanac" though.

I even tried to have a bit of a flow following the storyline... the songs for the movie characters are about 3/4 into the mix, then the songs for the Syndicate characters and Spike's past, then into "Blue" because EVERY Cowboy Bebop CD needs to end with "Blue."

(::whispers:: these in the icon are the two characters I want to write dark yaoi about...Kabuto is the one in glasses...watch Naruto!)

Yup. I am so horrendously happy with that icon. I am going to make more for the pairing at some point, but right now just the one makes me deliriously delighted.

bronwenstx) has been semi-converted because of the icon. The last frame. Guh. Usually I'm only semi-happy with icons because I'm not really all that experienced at them, but this one just everything turned out right and I look at them and go, "Okay, so they're a pacific ocean away from even faintly resembling canon... but my icon proves there's something there so hah."

yeah... Sands is a bit less flamboyant than, say, Captain Jack, so I can see how that would take work.

So how was the episode, if you've watched it yet? I was rather obsessed with Sailor Moon at one point, and I loved the moon princess episode in particular, so it'd be interesting to see how the live action series handles it.
