Rather troublesome quandry

Well, it's time to face facts.

I will have to limit my use of the computer.

See, my wrists are hurting regularly now. I've taken some measures to help--- I got an ergonomic keyboard, and I do wrist stretches. But the plain fact is, spending so much time typing and using a mouse is ruining my wrists.

Tomorrow I'm making an appointment to see a doctor. I have also decided to limit my computer time to 2 hours a day, maximum, excluded when I actually watch anime because I don't have to use my hands for that, just sit back and enjoy it.

This means I will be updating my own journal less, and commenting on other journals less.

It's also a bitch because it means I'll be limiting my ability to type fanfiction, which I've gotten a lot of good ideas for lately. I might even have to ::shudder:: do it by hand. I hate that.

Anyway, this is your occasional health of Shaka announcement.

Dearie me, what synchronized timing we have. Just two days ago my wrists started to hurt outrageously. Their killing me right now, in fact. I may have to limit my time as well, which will hurt me terribly. Oh, how this makes me unhappy. It's always been pleasant to have you surfing around so often and to catch you online at the same time I am. :(

I highly recommend Glucosamine/Chondroitin blend. It's an over-the-counter supplement, used as a treatment for curing arthritis in Europe.

I had a problem with my ankles. They were hurting so bad they'd wake me up out of a dead sleep. Ouchies. I started taking this, and within two days, no more ouchies. It doesn't have any noticeable side effects and it's relatively in expensive. You can get it at the drug store.

I've recommended it to several friends and folks here at the office, and no one has had any complaints.

Here's hoping your wrists get better!

wow, i have never heard of this. and i type in all awkward positions, but i think it's because i loove writing by hand. most of my stuff is done first by hand. i have to keep a little archive to keep my post-its, napkins, multi-colored and multi-size papers organized.

come on, try writing by hand, it's good for you, and also do phone posts instead. and take a break from writing and shop for some good books. let your wrists rest, but don't suffer over it.

:x feel better darling.
