timepiececlock: (Hatori & Shigure - not adults at all)

Saiyuki yet again, I apologize to all non-anime people on list

::blinks::

Why is it everyone else has Fushigi Yuugi hair but green dragon boy has hair like he stepped out of an early Rumiko Takahashi universe?

Dude, whoever mentioned this was a video game is right. This _is_ like a video game. And it has more dramatic poses than a DBZ episode. Am I supposed to start giggling during the Serious!Thinking!DroopyMonk parts? Cause I have been and I feel vaguely guilty about it because I'm pretty certain that's not supposed to be the funny part, guessing by the bondage imagery.

Hi! You don't know me, as far as I know (maybe I saw you in the fayeandspike chat room, I was etoile from #cb?). I was just poking round [livejournal.com profile] kenzier's LJ and your icon caught my eye. It rocks my world, it's so cute. Just had to say that. <3 Shigure and Hatori. K.

I love this icon. I didn't make it, however-- I got it from [livejournal.com profile] animeicons. It gives me a giggle too.

This show is 110% fanservice. Once I realized and accepted that, I started to enjoy it. If you get this far, check out the end theme to season 2. They might as well just write "YOU WILL LOVE YAOI!" across the screen.

Doesn't that get boring, though? I like plot. Constant fanservice bores me when it's girls, and I can't imagine it being that much better when it's guys, once the novelty wears off.

Well, it's not a show to take seriously, at least as much as I've seen. And now and then I enjoy the fluff - Saiyuki is like the fluffernutter of anime. It's not good to have all the time, but after dining on salad and grilled chicken, it's fun to have.
