I'm not up with current French artists, so I'm not in a position to recommend anything which sounds like it. I mostly deal in Francoise Hardy and April March - French 60s pop. It is a fantastic song, though. I DL'd it so I could know what it sounded like. Never heard this particular Placebo song before.

there's a really great video on amv.org for FMA to it; that's where I first heard it. It's by far the best FMA vid I've seen. You can find it pretty easily with their search engine.
