The majority on [livejournal.com profile] fm_alchemist have decided that Edward Elric looks better with a pony-tail over a braid now that he's getting older.

I thought about it before I looked at the other votes, and that was my choice too.

I don't know. I'm still awfully fond of the braid but I haven't seen the ponytail enough to have decided how much I like it.

I guess I'll have to watch the last episode a few more times to get a good grip on this debate. Yep, I'll have to watch it for research purposes.

One should never fear to do proper research. Oh no.

In fact, I might have to do some research myself. Just to absolutely sure I agree.

On a similar topic, I was thinking last night about the dynamics between the Elric brothers and Honenheim.

Like, isn't interesting that Edward hated Honenheim, viciously resented him for abandoning their family and then for being involved in the philosopher's stone stuff too. And yet Ed is the one who most looks like him (I think it's a safe bet now to say Al looks like their mom), and though Al wanted to be with their father more, Edward is now the one with him, learning from him and getting to know him. And even starting to look MORE like him, with the pony-tail.

But of the two of them, Edward didn't care about their father as much as Al did, and yet he's getting that experience. Interesting.

It's nice, though, that Ed seems to have made a kind of piece with him.
