Huzzah! I just saw THE PRINCESS BRIDE IN A THEATER!

It was awesome! There were giants and sword-fighting and miracles and shrieking eels and true love and R.O.U.S.es!

This is still one of my top ten favorite movies, ever. Ah... nostalgia.

The Princess Bride... Gosh, I remember the teachers making us watch that at -school-. However, the reason for showing that movie to us is lost to me now.

My favorite line MUST be this;
Inigo Montoya: Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.

One of the most famous movie lines in cinema history. Classic.

I know I'm a couple days late, but that is possibly the coolest thing ever. How did you get to see it in a theater? Is there a re-release I'm unaware of?

And if you don't mind *shuffles his feet shyly* I hope you don't mind I added you. Your posts are interesting and I find I learn a lot more about anime (which is something to he who has no knowledge) from your experiences.

Sure you can add me. I don't add people to my flist regularly anymore because I can't follow all the people I've added so far, but you're welcome to comment on my LJ. Most of my posts are public, and I do like to talk about anime.

I saw The Princess Bride in a special showing the local theater near my university is doing, where old movies are shown on wednesday nights in september and october. Unfortunately the movie was so old that there were some lines and scratches, and it skipped in a few places. But overall, it was awesome to see on a big screen and so worth my 6 bucks.
