Well, I'm going to make a doctor's appointment on Monday.

I was hit by menstrual cramps today, and like last time the pain was overhwleming... near debilitating. I took midol, it didn't help. I did all sorts of things--lots, believe me--- and right now, hours later, I feel alright.

But before... it was so bad. When they started I had to drive from the shopping center I was at about four miles to my home, and it was one of the most painful drives I've ever done.

When I got home I rushed to the bathroom and just sat there wiht my pants down, hunched over and whimpering from the pain. Over and over my mind was saying This can't be normal. This can't be normal.

My mom heard me and came in to check on me, and I ended up sitting there crying to her, unable to understand why it hurts SO MUCH, that it's all I feel, it's all I think about, that it's making me almost completely unable to function.

So at her suggestion I'm going to make an appointment come Monday to see a doctor as soon as my period stops, and maybe they can check to see if there's anything serious that's cause the cramps to be worse and worse with every cycle. Maybe it's just that my body has abnormally painful cramps. Whatever it is, I just want to know.

I really do sympathise. I used to get cramps so bad they caused me to vomit and I came close to passing out on more than one occasion. I went to the Doctor and he suggested I either take super-strong painkillers or go on The Pill. Since I was only 16 at the time I opted for the painkillers. Thankfully things got better as I got older. I still have cramps but nothing a dose of painkillers won't cure.

Anyway, I hope everything is ok with you. Let me know how it goes *hugs*

I've not had to vomit. But the possibility defintiely isn't out of my comprehension, considering what I'm feeling. Thanks for the rec & the sympathy.

Ask about endometriosis, and ovarian cysts. Ask if taking the pill for a few months might help ease the cramping. Make your doctor understand that the pain you've been having is far from usual and out of the ordinary. Good luck, sweetie. Oh, and motrin/ibuprofin 600mg every four hours (take with food) will help the cramps.

**hugs**

thanks for the specific reccomendations. I've been thinking about the pill anyway, since I haven't had a regularly-timed cycle since I started, and I'm 18 by now.

No advice here, just sympathy. My sister gets cramps like that, or did before she started taking birth control pills. Hope that you feel better soon and figure out what's causing this.
