random Veronica Mars speculation, unspoiled

Everyone seems convinced that Logan roofied Veronica's drink. Or purchased the roofies. Or had some responsibility therein.

But... what if Duncan did it? I think that would be almost as traumatic to Veronica, probably more. She still considers Duncan a moral, decent, trustworthy person in spite of his potentially dangerous episodes.

I don't even watch, but I follow it well enough through everybody else that I've got a theory about the whole thing. I think Logan found somebody else about to use them or with them in their position, took them away, then passed them off to somebody else to get rid of while he either got into a fight with whoever brought them or got distracted by something else. So technically, he could have given them to the rapist, but not in an intentional way.

I hope they put this show out on DVD soon, 'cause some of us don't have UPN, damn it. Grr.

As I said to thisficklemob, you're already speculating! So you should just watch it, already. :)

I like your theory. It allows some guilt and angst but doesn't make her being with Logan totally repulsive.

One of my theories is that one guy roofied the drink, and another guy had sex with her, not knowing that. Roofies erase memory, but as I understand it, you stay pretty with it at the time... so it easily could have happened that someone would have had sex with her and not known she was incapable of giving consent. The person who roofied the drink might have been out to get her, but the other guy might not have been... and that could be Logan.

It's all silly for me to speculate anyone, most of what I know of this show I know from reading my flist, and I'm trying, in desperate self-preservation, not to get sucked in.

I've heard that theory before, too. But I'm inclined to think that if anyone slept with her it without knowing she was roofied then it was more likely Duncan than Logan. Given the way he's reacted to Veronica so far and the way he thought about Lilly and the women in his family, I don't think he'd treat her the same afterward if he slept with her, and we know he went on treating her horribly for some time. I don't think he'd be a gentleman necessarily or think better of her, but I don't think he'd be able to just shrug it off. He'd have Issues, and as far as we know he doesn't have Issues of those kind with Veronica.
