Hmmm. Kakashi knows all about Itachi's eye thing and possibly has a new eye thing himself. Does this mean Kakashi can stab Itachi with swords for 72 hours?

For some reason, I thought Itachi's ability to do that sort of thing was related to the mangekyou sharingan. If that's the case, I doubt it. If I'm wrong, though, then maybe. And that would be cool, because Itachi deserves to be given a taste of his own medicine.

Whatever the case, I hope the actual fight starts in the next chapter. I don't know what else they could possibly have to talk about, unless they're going to go over every possible way to beat Itachi while he's standing right there.

What vexes me is that the little caption on the side of the last page said something like, "Tune in next time for the CONCLUSION of the exciting battle!" How can it conclude?! It hasn't STARTED YET!

...Well. I guess the battle with Kakashi's team will be pretty short and anticlimatic, then? Especially if both fights are going to conclude in the next chapter. At least Gai and his team got to fight for a couple of chapters.

See, if TeamGai had ever gone on a mission to Wave Country to save some random bridge named after a little punk-ass brat ninja, they'd know about the water bubbles and they'd have brought GIANT NINJA STARS!

But they didn't, so they must rely on Gai. Which is okay too, cause Gai kicks booty.

Still, though, you'd think the Byakugan would be useful, even from within the bubble trap. Neji could at least give helpful tips.

I hope there's more exploration in detail in the future about this village Kisame and Zabuza (and Haku?) came from. It seems to be an...interesting place.

I'm just waiting for "Naruto Z" which will be followed by a much unloved "Naruto GT" and since that goes over so horribly awful they will denounce all involvement and pick up "Naruto Z" again.
